Hi, we are going to teach you about cyclones and we are going to blow your mind! Do you know if a cyclone is severe weather or a natural disaster? It is severe weather.
Do you know what people are called if they study weather? They are called Meteorologists just like us. Meteorologists study weather, not  natural disasters. Meteorologists are important because they warn us when severe weather comes so they can keep us safe!

Do you know what the deadliest Cyclone was? The BHOLA Cyclone was the deadliest Cyclone, killing 300,000-500,000 people. So you don’t get confused. Cyclones are not Tornados, they are their own thing. Cyclones are formed by the ocean so it takes warm water and cold air to combine to make a Cyclone.   For example imagine you're just walking on the streets and a cyclone hits, how scary would that be?
There's more than one name for a cyclone like Typhoons or hurricanes. If you live near North America and the Caribbean you call them hurricanes. And if you live near the Philippines, Japan and China you call them Typhoons. And if you live near Australia and India you call them Cyclones.
As you can see Cyclones are severe weather not a natural disaster. We hope you learned a lot about Cyclones, and that we blew your mind! And if you want to study weather, what kind do you want to study?
