We made insect books in our classroom. We were entomologists studying many different kinds of insects. We are going to tell you some facts you can learn from our books. Like mine - the Black Widow. I will tell you one of my facts. Black widows are very venomous.  I made a book about bumblebees. There are more than 225 kinds of bumblebees. I made a book about honey bees. Did you know that a honey bee hive can hold 60,.00 bees in a hive.I did a book about dragonflies, dragonflies eat, butterflies, moths and bees.A black widow eats small bugs like ticks.Honey bees are yellow, not black. Did you know bumblebees live underground? Dragonflies live in trees. Black widows are black and red that way they can blend in. Bumblebees can sting more than one time.Honey bees are found where flowers grow. Dragonflies have a wingspan of about two to five inches, black widows live in HOT places. A bumblebee eats pollen and honey. Honey bees are  1.3 centimeters long. A dragonfly life cycle goes like this; egg to larva and then to adult. Evelyn’s book says an orchid mantis has six wings. In Rylan's book cicadas live in trees and plants. That is over 10,000 types of flies. Violet's book is about daddy longlegs. They live in the rain forest or in your home. An orchid mantis lives in humid places like Malaysia. A tick’s larva is the size of a grain of sand. A cicada lives in trees and plants. Now you know some of our different insect facts and if you see one you can tell your family about them.
